    future of beovision 7-32 ?

i am still temped to buy one but on the other hand it misses features would could be part of a future upgrade. it is just the 7-32 screen size which suits us very well

so are b&o turning in upgrading bigger screens only (see the 2009 blu-ray upgrade for the bv 7-40) ?

Personally, for the money, I think so.

No HDMI for crying out loud! The BV7_40 has 4 HDMI and the BS3 and its bigger for £1,500 - £2,000 more.

Loads more, granted but worth it.

Whats going to happen with the BV7-32 when you need to connect multiple sources? You will need an 4xHDMI to DVI hub and all sorts of other cables to make it work. Also, some products might not work because they assume that if you are using HDMI then the audio will travel down that route?

    Bla bla bla...

Ok, that might be interesting, although it might just be an addition of 2 HDMI Ports... it should be well worth the wait!

    I have also heard this.

B&O are currently working on a shared platform for the next versions of BV7-32 and BV8, i could not get more info, but i would guess they would add HDMI connectors and so on, i dont think they will use BS3 as platform, but maybe a stripped down version.

    this is rather becoming confusing

so in other words you guys tell me i should wait on a new to-be-released 7-32 which is based on unconfimed rumors ?

would that help me  getting better view on a playstation 3 (that is the question i have to ask today)

Have you really considered a cheaper, fully featured, non-B&O, PS3 only panel? I understand your affiliation to B&O but it occurs to me that if you're gaming you may be sat a lot close to the screen than normal TV watching and so the full HD facility may be beneficial (again assuming that 32" is an absolute limit).

Full connectivity (with the exception of powerlink/masterlink)

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

What do you expect? B&O to confirm a release date of a planned model? Although they hint and discuss their plans with their dealers, they're not likely to let their customers know of all their forthcoming plans, are they? Thus it will be unconfirmed.

However, ask a mainstream B&O dealer and they'll tell you a BV8-40 and an upgraded BV7-32 (both sharing the same chassis) will be released. No-one knows when exactly, but they are forthcoming. Talking to you dealer is the most 'official' way of getting information from B&O.

of course i don't expect b&o to disclose their deepest secrets but elsewhere on this forum i have seen a list of (official) new releases for 2009 but that was from a dealer meeting in france. no details on a new 7-32 though. i will ask my dealer again. but perhaps i better be prepared that a new 7-32 will arrive in 2010 earliest.

are you sure ? i thought that i have seen p-in-p on a 7-32 last weekend.

sorry, the beovision 8 is not our piece of cake. we don't like both the screen, sound and design. than we rather would keep our mx 4000/7000 and 8000.

The current bv7-32 does p-and-p but i do not use this feature.

I have got one and I love it. Picture using internal DVB-T tuner is gorgeous. Sound is fantastic, and you can add surround speaker.

BV8 is not a true B&O product and lack DVB-T tuner, 2 way AVL, Moving stand, contrast screen and Beolink is an option :-(

You can add a DVB-T tuner to the BV8 - my dealer has recently fixed this for me!

BV7-32" MKV will arrive in may 2009, with DVB-HD and a "little" BSy3 (official) Wink

thanks guys, for your input. although your info is based on rumours i think i tend to believe them or is it just my wishful thinking

fact remains that this info was not mentioned on the last cannes dealer conference.

As I said, talking to your dealer is the best way to secure information - they don't tell you rumours. If they know a new BV7-32 is on the way, it's on the way!

The key point is that you can't buy the new BV7-32 right now and, if it can't be ordered by your dealer, it won't be here within the next couple of months either. Speak to your dealer.

my dealer (key dealer) apparently doesn't know anything about a future release of a new beovision 7-32  (8-40 and 7-40 blu ray are known to him)

    here i must believe him.
