I would suggest line out from the computer to line in of the speakers  but as I don't have either 8000's or BL2 I can't really help.

If you can't take stereo line in to one speaker (such as the BL2) and then powerlink to the others, then the lead requirements become a little more complex.

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

I'm really the wrong person to help as I don't have either speaker, but I'll offer suggestions until someone knowledgable comes alongLaughing

My thoughts were that, from the line in most B&O speakers will switch on when a "non-silence" is detected. I could be wrong, I'm sure someone will tell you for sure.

As to what the correct lead looks like I really don't know.

If you use the Line in socket on the speakers, they recognise when music is playing and switch on automatically. The Beolab 2 could be a problem.

Yeah - miss out the Lab2 - on New Year's Eve everyone will be too drunk to notice and, if you hide it out of sight, no one will stand their drinks on it eitherBig Smile

Believe me - no one else but you will care! They'll be too busy talking and quaffing free drink and food, some will even complain that the music is too loud and they can't hear themselves speakLaughing Don't worry about it - no one is coming to listen to your sound system - honestBig Smile

I use a B&O cable with a head phone jack on one end and a power link on the other to connect my ipod/computer/etc... to a BS9000.  If you can connect that to the 3000, that would work.  If you're looking to connect directly to the speakers (I have a BL2 connected to 2 BL8000s), I haven't tried... but I would be willing to give it a try if you really want to know the answer.
