    Re: Service manuals

    Hi Peter,

I have been looking for the service manual for Beovox 5700 - 6229 - any possibilities you have that one? I bought two of this wonderfull speaker yesterday. They are just great - driven by the Beolab 5000 of course Smile

I'll have a look! Not sure about that one but I do have a few oddities around! As you know, the manuals for the speakers are pretty basic!

    Re: Service manuals

Looks as though I'll be needing the SM for a Beogram 4002 record deck, and possibly for a Beomaster 1900 as well.

I'm not entirely sure how active I will be on this forum (I own two Beogram 1700s, a "not functioning properly" Beogram 4002 (tonearm drop problem) and a Beomaster 1900. The BG 1700s are in current use, and I'd like to get the 4002 up and running.

I realize that I must "upgrade" my registration to access the SMs, and therefore would like to know if they are even available before doing so (it's my Scots heritage showing).

Which 4002? There are two types. The DC version is on and I do have the AC version but it will need scanning. The BM1900 is on as well. You will have a super deck in the 4002 - my favourite series of turntables.

    Re: Service manuals

    There are at least 4 versions of the Beogram 4002;
5503 and 5504 are both AC motor versions.
5511 and 5521 are DC motor versions.

Whistle Just adding to the confusion, I suppose ...

    - Some of which are not even listed in the Beoworld product browser...

Could be fun to know the exact differences.

Thanks for the response. I will check which version I have after I get off work.

Well, I just happen to have the 5513 deck.  Hmmmmmm.

Anyone have an idea if the 5514-5515 manuals are close enough for the tone-arm?

    Thanks!

If you can upload a photo of the complete innards (seen from above would be fine). Maybe that will help us help you.

    Re: Service manuals

    Got it!

The 5523-5526 (USA) SM also covers the 5513! Also grabbed the User Manual and the SM and UM for my Beogram 1700s (which I know I will have to use someday).

Well worth the $30 USD membership.

    Thanks!

    Re: Service manuals

I've just acquired a Beovision MX2000. I know this TV has come in for stick in the past, but this is a nice example. However, it has no user guide, and a low hum on the audio.

Can someone suggest where I might obtain User and Service manuals, in English? The manuals section of the site currently only has a German user guide :(

    Thank you,

    Mark

Been looking all over for one of these and drawn only blanks. Annoying as I had one as I bought an MX2000 new many years ago!! Not seen a service manual but it is a standard Thompson chassis .

    Re: Service manuals

Peter, are you looking for the user- and/or service doc for this one or the tv itself ??:)
I guess the manuals, what i have at least is the diagram (copy) on paper, which is actually only 2 pages since it's a very simple tv actually and not bad at all but by now so old they're usually falling apart.....
Anyway, amongst a pile of docs i still have to sorten out here and to be given to BW i can send a copy of this too and see if i have an English user guide (but i'm afraid if i have one left it's a dutch one :).
My home is still a bit in chaos but i'll try to make a list of docs i have and docs i want to pass on to BW and mail that to you...(so you can tell me what's of interest to BW).
What i'm not too sure of if BW should ask permision from B&O for this because in the past i always got copies (for the copy-cost) of anything i wanted from B&O NL but when i try to get a doc for an Avant from a dealer now they say they can't deliver that.
This translates to me as: "B&O don't sell these" because recently i bought them second hand (so they do exist).
So i don't know if B&O changed policy on this (from being easywith handing out docs to not supplying anymore) or if this is something else..
But this is for you/BW to decide....:)
The good thing with making this 'official' could be that B&O could refer people to this site if people need 'obsolete' docs/manuals....i know there's a site with docs from Revox and they have official permission from Revox to do this.

    Re: Service manuals

    Peter,

I've just downloaded pdfs of the service manual and schematics for the MX2000 from:

      http://manuals.electromaniacs.com/

I've not had a chance to try them out yet, but they look good. They have a note on the front of each saying that free distribution is OK. They have a number of other B&O manuals too. Perhaps they will allow them to be copied to here.

I can't find an English user manual out in webspace, though :(

I do actually have the service manual for the Avant in hard copy - as well as quite a few older TVs - they are massive and quite frankly life is simply too short to scan them. I have a lot of the very old video recoders and pre LX TVs and would consider llending the manuals if really needed but this would be at cost of postage - and I would need them back! I am working on B&O at present about manuals but don't expect a reply for sometime!

    Re: Service manuals

Is there any chance in getting service manual for either Beogram cd 3300 or the beogram cdx 2, I believe those two are allmost identical.

Now is only 4 pages of schematics available on the 3300

Afraid not! I have the service manual for the Thorens TD124 but this is the Thorens one and not the B&O one! I do have the service manual also for the Acoustical version. I am negotiating with a source at present and am asking for user manuals in particular - I'll keep you posted!

    Re: Service manuals

    Peter:

We have been given a very large supply of Service manuals for a lot of the older equipment. Lots of Beolits, Beomaster, Beocord etc.

Are there any that are particularly wanted at present as I can scan those as a priority..

I am looking for a manual for my Beogram 4002,Type 5513.  Do you still have access to them or do you know where I can get my hands on one?

Both service and user manual are on the site. You need to be a silver or gold member. I am just adding the 5501 one as well.
