Be aware that the Beogram 7000 needs to be plugged into a normal input, not a dedicated record player input. To bring the output of a cartridge up to the same level as a CD player, a device called a RIAA is required. This amplifies an equalises the signal. Most record players simply output the cartridge output and expect the RIAA to be fitted in the amplifier. The 7000 has one fitted in the Beogram so will need to be attached to the same type of input as a CD player or Tape player. This is what makes it so desirable as it works with all the modern B&O equipment.
