Working record/playback head for BeoCord 5000 Cassette Deck Types 47XX (3 head type)
Looking for one of these record/playback heads or a complete donor machine with fully non open circuit record/playback head. The head should have resistance between pairs of terminals and between all terminals and the case (earth).

I don't remember by heart but isn't the three heads; erase - record - playback, as in separate record- and playback heads ? Martin

I always thought that the three head one never worked properly - even when new! That is why they changed the 4715 to two head. That one only chewed the tapes as opposed to the 4705 in which the heads would go out of alignment and then it would chew the tape! (I have the 4715 which I love dearly as one would a recalcitrant child!)

Martin You are quite correct. It was a while since I restored this one and I should have rechecked my notes before mailing. It is one side of the record head that is open circuit. The machine plays back but only records on one channel. It sounded very nice through my BM4400 once I had recapped it and repaired the damage caused by a previous repair. I can see why the guy sold it with no power plug now Richard
