Sorry, I'm not sure I fully understand your question. Are you asking if your BV7 can decode FLAC files?? If so I suspect the answer is no, I'm don't believe any B&O kit can decode the FLAC format, however where are the FLAC files coming from? - if the host is capable of decoding it then maybe the SPDIF link is actually carrying the already decoded audio stream in which case the BV7 should treat it like any other digital audio input signal.

    Hello puncher
    .
Thank you for your reply. It is about connecting the TViX HD - Multimedia Center.

It certainly sounds like this unit decodes the FLAC internally and the audio output is what appears at the SPDIF socket. Any externally connected device needn't worry about the FLAC format at all.

Puncher's hit the nail on the head. The output from the S/PDIF will produce a standard PCM signal.

One thing to bear in mind is that some BeoVision 7s were not capable of decoding stereo digital audio - the digital input would only decode Dolby Digital/DTS. For this reason, you may be best off just connecting it to the TV via analogue connections.

    Hej Alex
    .
Yes analog sound will always be able to run. But now it is a BeoVision 7-40 "Mk III I have.
But only with HDMI 1.2. I want to Bang & Olufsen with BV.Mk 4 will use HDMI 1.3 for the
playing of high-definition (HD) material in a pure digital connection. As Dolby True HD and
Deep Coller are not supported by HDMI 1.2.
    .

    .
My B & O TV MUST be able to work with all new digital formats.
BeoSystem 3 must be updated to HDMI 1.3 to be up-to-day.
    .
