    Hello,

Now I hope I am in the General forum can be helped.
Unfortunately, my English is not so good but
I have a problem with the wireless connection in my laptop to my Beomedia 1st Unfortunately, I can not connect to Beomedia when I click on "Own a Beomedia" gehe.Bei enter my password, I get the message "Beomedia1 could not be located. Beomedia Enter 1's IP ...... Sebst in Enter the IP address 192.168.1.101 I get no connection.
The laptop's new! and except Vista with Service Pack 1, no other program except the current Beoplayerversion 4.83 installed. In addition, this laptop only the Windows firewall. This I had also been for a connection attempt off! Unfortunately without success. Nor was important to mention that a connection with my desktop PC via LAN cable on the router absolutely functioning properly, so an error in the password, an error in Beomedia and a mistake to exclude a connection, since the Beomedia to the router via Wi-Fi a connection to the WEB and N. The other, nor to mention a connection to Beomedia on my router via wireless, with my old, defective laptop functioned properly. This had a laptop running Windows XP.
I hope you can help me with my laptop Winows Vista operating system XP SP1 with the Beomedia again to combine.

I am already on despair. 've Also already in the firewall Beoplayer admitted. The ports 137-139 TCP and UDP 137-139

I have been in the rules allowed. Everything until now without success.

I would be glad if you can help me.

    Greetings!

    Re: Vista to Beomedia

    Hi Andreas.

As far as I know there are some certain issues with the Vista. However, in my opinion this should be a vista problem and not a Beomedia1.

I never use vista since for hat ever you do you need to onfirm and create rule .......... Check the windows firewall and the connection settings in both machines.

Sorry that I cannot help more.

     Regards

     Spiros

    Best regards

    Re: Vista to Beomedia

When you try to connect via your wireless laptop, please try to create some "traffic" on the BeoMedia 1:

Start BeoMedia 1 via your tv. Select WEB and surf between various internet pages while your laptop tries to connect.

    Re: Vista to Beomedia

If your laptop can't see your BeoMedia 1 (do you have any software that can be used to detect computers currently connected to your network, like PC-cillin?), then the number one fault with Vista is this:
"If Windows Vista is installed on the computer used in connection with BeoMedia 1, it is important that the time setting on BeoMedia 1 and the client PC are 'synchronised' (within 35 hrs.).
Otherwise, BeoPlayer cannot connect to BeoMedia 1."

    Hi Andreas,

The language shouldn't hold anyone back on the General Forum - thank you for posting on the General Forum, and by doing so more people will be able to search and find the answer to their challenges with their BeoMedia setup.

    Roger
