Indeed.. placing a BV4/BL7 just above the vents of a fireplace!!!!!!! (or was it something else? Whistle )

I think he means the overall installation. That is a gas fireplace, I don't think this is causing that much heat, I would not have both on though.

Looks very nice indeed. I wouldn't but the TV over the fireplace, they both don't get the attention they would deserve. The wall is somehow "overcrowded".

I agree with Tom, the wall is too busy. Both the fire and the B&O are nice pieces, but which would look better still on their own. Nice room though with some fairly decent speakers! Laughing

What is about flat screen tvs?  Why do people suddenly believe that once they have one the correct place to put a tv is high up on the wall?

    The screen isn't that high!

That's what i'm mystified about, what in the world are they replacing the BC2 in that setup with?! Oh well it's in USA, nothing they do over there seems to make sense to us when it comes to B&o.

Someone once told me that the best way to hang a wall-mountable set is to figure out where you'll be watching it from, and then calculate where your eye would hit the wall without moving your neck.

The centre of the visible screen should not be more than 6 inches above that point to avoid straining the eyes and neck.

Agreed ... look at the height of an avant ... or an MX7000 on a floor stand ... its like that for a reason!

I guess that figures!! I suppose most people choose to have them mounted above mantlepieces etc as they look good there - but don't consider their health before drilling!

Well then this screen is positioned perfectly then, because he has a chaise longue, i know when i had one of these it was a strain to look down at the TV when i had my feet up. So there, no more complaining Stick out tongue

Actually, that house doesn't look like the USA.  The person posting it on Ebay says that they're selling this equipment out of the UK, however, I seem to recall that the original Ebay listing last year was out of Australia.  But, I may be wrong.

    Happy Easter to all!
