    MCL question

I am unable to select V.AUX or A.AUX from my LX (connected to an Avant/BC9500 via an MCL2AV) yet I can select these sources from MCL2A's in other rooms on the same system.

The LX and link eye in the same room are both set to option 2. Does the software prevent these two commands? All the others work fine. No additional speakers are connected - I use the LX to monitor all sources.

    Re: MCL question

I don't know if it is related, but I cannot chose A.AUX in my kitchen, where I have a MCL-2A connected to my BS9000 in the living room. Pressing LINK SHIFT RADIO yields nothing, but I use LINK A.TAPE instead, which does the same.

I your case I think V.AUX will select AUX on the LX, and A.AUX perhaps selects the AUX on the MCL-2AV which is used for the LX, I suppose. Maybe playing around with options might help. Do you have the config tool?

    Living room: BV7-40 mkIV + V8000, BL5, BL3, BM1 and BS9000. Bedroom: MX3000 and BL4500 on MCL2-AV. Around: PentaIII, CX100 and MCX35 on ML/MCL + MCL2-A, BeoPort and BL4 on ML, BS3300 + M75 as stand alone, BC6000 + BC600 and BT1100, LC1, LC2, Beo4, Beo5 and BL1000, BS2 and A8, EarSet2, Apron, Coffee mugs, Enamel Bagdes, Bath towel, Keyring, Books, Lots of miniature and the Bottle opener. Addicted? Oh no.... ;)

There is a second option which allows either tv or audio commands only to work! Download the Product Configuration Guide as suggested. It is explained in there better that I can manage!

    Re: MCL question

Thanks both. I do have the PCG and it says that to get the stereo sound from the central room you press source>AV>source. I can get the sound from the audio master but the MCL2AV/LX will not change from the last source selected (e.g radio). There is a brief silence then (radio) returns. A visit to an MCL2A or the central room is required to change and monitor the desired source.

VAux seems unrecognised by the MCL2AV/LX software so I changed to VTape 2 on the Avant connections menu. I can now select picture with RF sound.
