Re: NW Beoworld meeting at B&O King Street Manchester

OK - Two days to go.

The format, as previously described, will be "open house" from 3pm.

Its really just a chance to meet up and say hello in a "BeoVenue", with Danish themed drinks and nibbles on hand throughout the day.

Feel free to bring along any CD's & DVD you may wish to use - there will be ample time to have a prolonged play with the products of your choosing, and we have Earset 2's available so bring your phones and have a try !!

No sneak previews unfortunately (despite trying hard to get a Beo5 and a DVD2 ) but we do have a few BeoGifts lined up as give-ways, in a pub-quiz style Q&A we have lined up. Wink

See you on Friday

A list of those coming would be nice - I will be there and will be bringing a Beolink 7000 which is really for Andy to borrow but can be played with when it is there!

Just back in Newcastle and King Street did us proud. Very welcoming, lovely shop with lots of little extras on display that add massively to a shop. Truly knowledgeable and superbly friendly. In fact I would say the perfect dealer! If you are in the area, I would strongly suggest popping in and enjoy the way that they have set their systems up.

We were treated to a super evening and I will let our resident tale teller do the honours as he has shown himself most adept at doing so!

It was a pleasure meeting meeting old and new friends and be treated royally by King Street. We all were given a goody bag - which of course I left behind though I am pleased to say that I don't think I managed to lose anything else in my travels!

Re: NW Beoworld meeting at B&O King Street Manchester

Just arrived back in Leeds myself and I can only echo everything Peter has to say about King Street.

What a great set of Guys who made for an excellent day out for all of us. Even the Mrs enjoyed herself. I'm sure Andy will be putting together a little something soon with some (hopefully) not too embarrassing photosBig Smile

Re: NW Beoworld meeting at B&O King Street Manchester

Well Peter and Chris have said it all really. Thank You for all those that organised the get together in Manchester. So sorry that myself and Carol could not stop after we all left the shop. Some of us had to be in work for 6.00 this Morning. Can't wait for Andy's pictures.

Sorry I'm late, Ernie Bishop was just shot dead in Mike Baldwin's factory of all places!
Yes, a great time was had by all and although I didn't take many photo's, I will share them with you.
Now, I know you're all dying to see what Peter really looks like as, like me, you probably have a pre-conceived image in your head.
Your illusions are about to be shattered as halfway through this thread I will be showing you a full frontal of him!

Re: NW Beoworld meeting at B&O King Street Manchester

I left Clitheroe at about 3.30 and was bound for The Mitre hotel which was near to Manchester Cathedral.
It was a mild, dry day in Clitheroe but as I got nearer to Manchester the rain steadily increased and it was a truly abyssmal day by the time the cathedral sprung into view.

I checked in and went up to my room. It was cheap and er cheerful adequate. Well the sheets were clean and there was a loo. I wasn't planning to spend much time there anyway.

I opened the sash window to have a look out.
Smashing view, a veritable pot-pourri of old and new buildings. The tall building in the background is The Arndale Center.

Totally agree Andy, Manchester has some excellent old and new buildings and the annexe which houses Selfrdiges & M&S etc looks stunning against the old buildings.

Keep 'em coming!
