Chris,  Try the 'Place' on Ducie Street, Manchester M1. About 5-10 minute walk from the B&O store and all new so actually worth staying in. As a B&O phile, you'll appreciate the decor! There are a few more (Malmaison in Piccadilly, etc) but not as interesting.Andy

Re: NW Beoworld meeting at B&O King Street Manchester

Really looking forward to meeting you Peter and Mrs Peter (is it Eleanor?)
Just Googled "The Place" and it looks really nice though a little over my price range.
Looking for something a little more basic, just to get my head down and have a decent breakfast. Any ideas anybody?

    Hey Andy,

Try the Ramada in Deansgate, there is also a Radisson and a couple of Travelodges. Try:

    OK,

Here are some links for accodation in the City Centre.

    http://www.visitmanchester.com/where-to-stay-home.aspx

    http://www.mitrehotel.com/

    http://www.jarvispiccadilly.co.uk/

    http://www.laterooms.com/en/hotel-reservations/97967_northern-quarter-apartments-market-buildings-manchester.aspx

Still waiting to hear about a potential rate in a not too far away hotel, but any of the above would be fine.

Our plan is to end up here,   www.mattandphreds.com , where the first round will, of course, be on us.  It's a great venue only 5 mins walk from the shop, offering nice food/drinks/live music into the ealry hours.  I am a member here, and so there will also be a preferential rate for food.

    Regards

    David
