Re: beo 4 and other televisions

Unfortunately I can only offer a link to a website in German language but actually there is such an addon for the Beo4. You might ask if it is also available for the equipment that you are using: http://linvis.de/shop/index.php/cat/c15_Einbaumodule--B-O-kompatibel.html/XTCsid/db28ff1de6ed0415d68dc201aee1832d

Using Beo5 instead of Beo4 gives you the possibility to program 3rd party equipment without additional hardware. But you will need the Beo5 Configuration Tool by Bang & Olufsen (ask your dealer before buying Beo5) and the Beo5 3rd party XML Generator by Keith Saunders and Weebyx: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/thread/159375.aspx
Depending on the IR codes that your equipment is using you might need additional information about these codes or the right hardware to find them out by yourself.

It is also possible to modify the televison itself instead of the Beo4-remote. You might contact Ulf Kiener (Beoworld member name: Ulf) for further information on that. http://www.ulf-kiener.de/bo/bo.html | http://www.ulf-kiener.de/angebote/angebote.html

Lintronic or IRTrans could also help by translating the Beo4-Signals, but in my opinion this is the most expensive way if you just want to power-on/power-off the 3rd party televisions... http://www.lintronic.dk/ | http://www.irtrans.de/
