I did think of buying a bigger amp that would match speakers that may struggle with the beomaster 1001as you were saying but the beomaster 1001 for me has sentimental value as my father had one when I was very small so like to listen to music how I remember it.
I did win the beomcentre 8500 a while ago on ebay but I found the bass response and scope rather disappointing compared to the 1001. With the beomaster 1001 i new exactly what I was getting. However I expect there are bigger and better amplifiers out there which would suit me but I just don’t have a clue. However I’m open to any comments or advise.
One more question. Would b&o still service my beomaster 1001’s if required. All the lights need replacing and I may need a new transformer as it's noisy and tends to over heat after a couple of hours use.
