Thanks Christian, The Beosound 9000 looks good in white (as does the BV9), but not sure I'm convinced by the "robotic penguin" Beolab 9 in white.... Best regards, Steve.

Re: Any pics of the new BeoSound 9000 in limited white colour?
I think that it looked great to start off with, they need to work in the lights, from red -> white or green and change the control panel cover to black instead of the bluey looking colour

Re: Any pics of the new BeoSound 9000 in limited white colour?
A lot of people think they should have made a white cover panel (in reality it is black/brown) and keep the aluminium for the back of the CD panel. That is what they have done for everything else, white plastic and aluminium. Much better. p.

Re: Any pics of the new BeoSound 9000 in limited white colour?
Nice! What a shame B&O didn't go for blue LED displays in the 9000 and the corresponding white speakers - this would have given a really distinctive finish. Whilst I applaud the styling of the new range, the lack of internal modifications does annoy me, as a little extra effort could have made this a REALLY desirable special edition. I know this is petty, but a few extra details (such as blue lights, or similar) would have sent my scurrying off to place an order and would consign my mk.3 9000 to its fate on eBay. As it stands, I think that the new white product range is cosmetically pleasing, but nothing more. [Cowering in the corner, waiting for the impending torrent of disagreement!] Steve.

Personally, I think blue leds are soooo 2001. They are often disturbingly bright, and due to the physiological qualities of the eye, much harder to read than other colours - compare some signs next time you're out at night if you have never thought about this before. One thing I've always valued about B&O is that the don't jump on your face with light shows (my Beocord 6500 is almost over the edge in this matter). You can come out of the corner now, Steve (and yes, I like the "more white" version above better)

Re: Any pics of the new BeoSound 9000 in limited white colour?
Hi Mika, Ok, maybe not blue (although I do admit to liking this, despite the fact it is already becoming a "retro" choice!). I suspect that just about any colour of LED would be better than red to go with this colour scheme. LED technology now allows almost any colour of visible light (including white) to be displayed from one element, using two different coloured diodes on one substrate. The circuitry to drive this is not complex, but admittedly it could be a headache to add this to the 9000 for a short production run. A more realistic option would be to stay with a single colour of LEDs, but change this from red to a colour more in keeping with the white CD panel. How about green, to match the speakers when they are powered up? That would require almost no effort (just new LEDs and a very slight change to some resistor values) within the 9000 cabinet. [Cautiously removing suit of armour] Steve.

I like the green LEDs on my Pentas, and I can see no reason why they shouldn't mount green LEDs in the BS9000. Orange could look rather cool, or really outdated, not sure what I think in this case...

i can' t see a difference it still looks the same...to me. also i don't understand all the fuss about the new "white" speakers...they are still silver-only the fabric on the beolab 4000, and 8000 are "white". A white beolab 5 or beolab 9 would be nice....I love white...my beosound 1 is white.

Re: Any pics of the new BeoSound 9000 in limited white colour?
The fuss is that it is a new colour and looks beautiful! It's such a shame to see how nice the 9000 looks with white all over, as it's not a reality! The white and black 9000 TO ME looks very very retro (back to future movies) I wouldn't buy it. Blue would look cheap, the led's should change from red to white instead of green!

Ah, the blue lights for the BS 9000 and BL8000 would be a distinguishing feature indeed! Would really look great along with Peter's Blue BL 2 , or one of Lee's White BL 2's. Roger
