I can not use my Beolink7000 to "timer" my LC2's

I have a Beosystem2300 (two way), 2 LC2 and a Beolink 7000. I can program my 2300 (cd and radio) to turn on and off according to the timre functionality in the Beolink7000. But my beolink7000 timer finction does not work with my LC2's. Please help me - manuals do not give a reasonable explanation.

     Best regards

    "Operation Conflict" ?

I think, it does only work with the BM7000, not BS2300/2500.

Exactly, The LC2 timer is stored in the Hifi, not in the remote. You need a compatible hifi. BC2300 isn't.

Re: I can not use my Beolink7000 to "timer" my LC2's

Thank you for your very quick and qualified reply Yes - thumbs up- that explains the problem. Is there some how I can get around the problem. I also have a MX7000, Beo4, Beolink1000 and a MX4002?

Cheers from a hopefull Dane who would love to "time" his LC2's so they are on when I get up in the morning - and remember, in Denmark it is cold and dark, so we need the light (however, I could always just turn them on manually as man has done fo quit some years nowStick out tongue

    Thanks in advance

You could use a lintronic box connected to a computer... and a lot of scripting and programmation!

Thank you allfor your help. I think the linktronic box solution is above my levelsof qualifications.

There is another way I just thought...

INNOVUS is doing some LC2 compatible light controllers. They are operated in exactly the same way with the Beo4 remote. An they have all the same features (light pictures, etc...).

On top of that they are z-wave compatible and they sell a PC sofware and a controler box to operate all this.

It can also control other things in your house.

They are cheap, but I have ordered some of the first models and they were crap. None of them worked. I will get a free replacement, and I hope the new one will be better. It seem that people that bought them recently are not complaing that much.

Thanks - that might be a good strategy with the InnovusYes - thumbs up. Will you send a signal when you get it to work - and if you can make it work with other things than light control.

    Thank you in advance.

They usually take about a month (!) to ship their product. So I'll let you know if the new ones work.

Note that you can control this "LC2" with the Beo 4, but in order to control other things you need their control box and another remote.

If what you want is a time function that is not an issue as the other remote is never used.

I am only using them as LC2 replacement, so I won't be able to tell you about automation.
