Will a BS5, BV9 (w/ Beomedia) & a BS4000 (audio master) peacefully co-exist in the same room?
I'm seeing BS5 as a stane-alone audio master, not requiring a Video system to be powered up. So can my present BS 4000 co-exist with masterlink with a BS5? Inquiring minds want to know! Thanks Barry

As a standalone product, yes, it will work. However, you can't have both of them on the same link system as link masters, just as you couldn't have two BeoSound 4000s.

Alex, if that is the case I think there are going to problems with Beosound 5. From the way I see it, it is designed more to compliment your existing audio master. Not replace it. As others have said there is no FM/AM radio, or conectivity of other devices. This is why I think you still need an audio master as well as the Beosound 5. Craig

That is not true, you can set the BS5/BM5 as audio master or not. If not it can be on the same ML system as a N.MUSIC compatible Beosound or Beocenter. P.

True, and I use my N.Radio feature quite a lot too. Some members have commented about the lack of this though. Even so if I were going to buy a Beosound 5, I would still like to have my BS3000 in the same room as the audio master. For when I wanted to use the CD or the Turntable that is connected to the Aux. This I why I think you need the ability to have both on the same Masterlink network. Craig

Glad to hear that. Craig
