    Hmm [^o)] Beomaster 5000

    Hi, can anyone help me?

I have a Beomaster 5000 system to sell and would like some advice on what the asking price should be?

The System consists of Beomaster 5000

    Beogram CD 50

    Beogram 5000

    Beocord 5000

    Beogram Master Control Panel

All are in little used condition within all original packaging and perfect working order. including boxes and all have instruction manuals still in sleve and in perfect condition as this system has been stored as sadly not used anymore.

Is this a desirable system to a collector?

Your help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks very much.

Always tricky - these are good systems but are not able to use the same remote as the more modern systems. they can be seen as a transition system therefore. The components however are good and will work with the 5500, 6500 and 7000 systems. the Beogram 5000 and CD50 are both very good but none will get a very big price. The Beocord is actually one of the better decks made by B&O but cassette decks are now hardly selling at all. I would list them individually on eBay with good photos and descriptions - have a look at our product pages for descriptions. The fact that all the boxes and manuals are there is a huge plus. You might find the manuals could sell as well as anything!! I would have thought £300 for the system would be realistic but I would see if you might get more. The market is very depressed at present though.

It will also depend on where you are. In Denmark the market for the 5000 system is almost completely gone by now. Within the last 3 years the market for these systems has gone. But with original packaging and manuals you may find a buyer in time. In Denmark right now there are systems from 1.300 DKK (110£) inkluding Master Control Panel but without the turntable up to 3.000 DKK (270£) with the turntable.
They have allmost all been up for sale for more than a month.

     /Lars
