    Re: Prize Quiz!!

As far as i'm aware, it doesn't affect the rankings at all... Confused

This was the furthest thing from our minds when the idea cropped up though! - The idea was to get people looking around the main site, and above all enjoy themselves!  We love a bit of fun on here, and hopefully there will be plenty more of this type of thing to come!

Thanks Peter! (it was all his idea, as usual...)

As for the clue, sorry i can't help.. they are hyper-difficult in my opinion! Indifferent

    Re: Prize Quiz!!

I am sure that lots of us beoworlders are having a good time with this quiz and get their brains smoking (english???). I never thought that it was Peter's goal to get clicks on beoworld to make it climb the google ranking with this quiz, but nobody would have minded if it would have helped...

The questions of the quiz really are very difficult, especially for you Lee. I'm sure you are still stuck with Q1! LaughingLaughingLaughing

Actually Lee wrote one of the clues! He also knows all the answers!

We did remove one as we felt it was too English centred.

    It was:

    The first of the chauvinists?

The answer is the MCP-7700 . The explanation is that MCP is common parlance stands for Male Chauvinist Pig. The 7700 panel was the first of the MCP range.

I have the highest regard for all Beoworlders who have shown, by their choice of the B&O brand, to be discerning individuals. A little mental athletics should be a bit of fun! I should point out that i am appalling at crosswords! My wife, on the other hand, does the Times crossword - or at least did. She has moved onto the Su Doku - but only the one with no numbers in it!

Peter, I got them all. Found Q15 by chance, but most of the others by knowing/ guessing. The only one I just can't figure out is Q13. Give me just a little clue, please. (I'm on my knees, there is no smiley for this...)

Don't worry Peter, I'm doing OK now, but playing my cards close to my chest!
I bet there's loads of other Beoworlders doing the same.
    Is there a deadline?

    Re: Prize Quiz!!

I have 5 correct answers with estimates to the last question. The number of hits in a week will be at the end of today and I will announce the winner the day before the draw. All answers must be in by the 28th of May! Interesting that almost all the replies are from outside the UK!!

As a helpful hint(!) the number of hits recorded last week was 1,082,777,and this has been steady for the last couple of weeks, going up slowly, but we have had a bit of a surge in the last 2 days. Probably you lot looking for answers!! Anyone who has already guessed can amend their answer once by the deadline! Laughing

Extremely. One went at auction for more than 300.000 Euros. And the one in the museum in Struer is a replica.

Strange. How come B&O did not keep one for their time tunnel. So is this the most disirable item for a B&O-vintage collector?

It was made decades before the time tunnel. Only few were made and they costed a lot of money already from the beginning.

    Re: Prize Quiz!!

Sorry Peter. Much too hard for meSad
I got about half of the answers and half of them were by luck.
It did, though, serve it's purpose and caused me to look extensively at the products pages.
Perhaps a new quiz next month for thickies. I know Spam comes from Denmark and it takes 40 minutes to boil an ostrich egg.
