I doubt he nicked them. If he did, he'd know they weight a little bit more than 'over 20 kilos'.

I'm thinking those are pretty hard bangs!

Wonder how the electronics are doing. The magnets of speakers can come off if the hit is hard enough.

    I wouldn't touch these.

BTW, what's up with the ebay bidder1, bidder2, bidder3 etc...? Often present at different auctions I look at. Am I being paranoid?

    Re: Wow, Damage!!

I'm saying nothing - but if any friend of mine treated his BeoLab 5's like that, he wouldn't be my friend for very long.

Also, this friend needs to find another friend to sell them that can actually spell..

That said, the seller has a 100% feedback record - which isn't easy to attain now!

It has been a while that eBay is not displaying the name of the bidders that did not win. For privacy reason.

Maybe someone got carried away listening to Wagner, and started banging away with hammers?

Looks gruesome. On one of my BL5 disks I have a teensy little scratch, about three millimeters long, that can only barely be seen, when viewed at a specific angle, in the right light. Irritates the hell out of me.  Big Smile

Looks like someone transported these lying down, and with the speakers banging up and down on every little unevenness in the road.

Won't give serial number, won't allow anyone to view, +20kgs is a bit differentt to 60kgs, doesn't know if they are pin protected.

Second bidder has -99 feedback which has been quickly covered up by anonymous bidding.

    Re: Wow, Damage!!

Set aside £1k each for repairs.  Each of the discs will have to be replaced and the cloth shell replaced also.

These are repairable as I have damaged....[:'(] some in the past too.....by accident though and it nearly did make me cry...

...........might be worth checking if the PINS are enables also and whether they work - when you receive them in the post that is.  Unsure whether it is pickup or whether the PAY BY PAYPAL IMMEDIATELY should raise any concerns.

I have images in my head of Max, the Bionic Dog, gnawing on the Beolab 5. Bad dog! Bad!

Hmm, I see the seller is in Nottingham, just a few miles from me - I might get in touch with him and ask if I can view them "prior to bidding" to see if I can shed any more light on this.

I will let you know the outcome Unsure

This should be reported to the police. They would probably be able to prove it is a robery. There are too many crooks on eBay and eBay is very happy about that as they still get the fees. They are doing nothing, although I reported many fake.

Yeah, weird!!! a usual 2£ computer games seller, and 10£ snowboard equipment, suddenly ebaying 2 tatty BeoLabs5!!!!

A "really cool" mate move to Spain and let their labs5 to a boy who after damage them, only ask 199£ in ebay ...  a story highly suspicious at least.

can imagine why is so difficult to contact this seller.
