    Link room connectivity

I intended to have a main room Avant, and a link room MX3500, connected by a converter. However, the Configuration Guide states that I won't be able to control the STB on the Avant from the MX3500. Is this correct? It rather defeats the purpose of linking the devices.

Here, if you are a paying member: http://www.beoworld.org/manuals_view.asp?pid=1238

It is a software that runs on you PC. You enter the config and it tells you how to configure it.

Connecting a BC9300 and a MX4002 is done by using a Beolink Video converter. You will not be able to transfer the sound of the TV to the Hifi. You'll be able to do the other way round. p.

Ok... the workaround I suggest: Connect all speakers to the TV.

Beosound in option 0, TV in option 6.

You can operate everything fine with the remote. But you cannot start the music using the local controls on the Beosound.

    Re: Link room connectivity

    apologies for not responding earlier!

how would the 4002 and the 9300 be connected, ie type of cable etc by power link or thro the mcl socket on the tv?

may be a stupid question but i am some way from a local dealer to talk thro' my perceived problem - otherwise point me atthe info or where to find it on the site please

    ta in advance

A BeoLink Converter is required to be able to connect the video and audiomaster, part No. 1161166/1161466

Connect the AUX/TV socket of the audiomaster to the BeoLink Converter's AUDIO AUX LINK socket using a 7/7-pin DIN cable.

Connect the BeoLink Converter's Master Link socket to the Master Link socket of the TV-set using a MasterLink cable.
