Well, i do confess to holding this back a little as i wanted the guys in Sweden to give the first report!  I have some news..

BeoWorld will be at the launch of the BeoSound 5 in Copenhagen next Tuesday!

I intend to give a full report, post images (as quickly as possible before everyone else.. i bought a new laptop for the job!) and also give a good account of the launch.

I may also have a brief interview with the CEO - so if anyone has any questions, please let me know them!!  This is not a definite as yet though..

Maybe you could ask the CEO if he'd like to fly an Australian representative to Copenhagen for this event, or any subsequent events?

I'd be able to give other Australians an insight in to the new Beosound 5!

There is much interest developing for this device: It might be wise to consider creating a new forum topic for the Beosound 5, for those new owners and prospective buyers.

In reply to your generous offer, I'd like to know how this will interface with Beoplayer, Beoport, the Master link products, and the B&O optioned Audi's.

- Tease Kalle Hvidt Nielsen (CEO) for details like possibly 2-way remote communication on BeoSound 5 (BeoMaster 4500 in the 80’s had this surprise also a few years after its launch.)

- Future and full i-Pod connector on the BeoSound 5?

 

Can you ask him about a digital masterlink solution? To be more specific:

1: We want our digital files interactive at home and on the move

2: Interactive remote control and information

3: HD video link

As wonderful as the BS5 sounds can we try to glean some detail on the BM5 (features, connectivity, new masterlink capabilties etc.) as ultimately this will determine the performance of the system.

Is there any kind of digital input ?

Can it be locked!

I have only one location, and that's on the Beovision 3 cabinet. 

So our children can reach it very easily.

The doors of the BS3200 (and similar systems) can be locked by pressing a remote controle number sequence.

Not sure how this works on Ouverture, 

but on a 3200, the door-lock can be activated / deactivated by pressing : 

BS 3200 in stand.by 

on remote : SHIFT  9 0 3 6 9 (with no more than 2 seconds between each individual entering)

Display shows : :LOCKED

To unlock: repeat sequence.

I hope B&O will invite you to all future product launches.  I would like to know more about the specifications especially the Beomaster 5.  I like the idea of a Beosound 5 forum.  B&O might find it an interesting read.

Ho, ho, ho! Santa came early this year.

I mentioned in another thread that my dealer didn't want to give tickets to the BeoSound 5 show. Guess what? A nice Danish dealer felt sorry for me and gave me two tickets! This happens only on BeoWorld!

It will take place in the new Copenhagen Opera building.

By the way Lee, are we going to the same event. You wrote tuesday, but my invitation goes for wednesday.

He is going to the press launch! Probably the same but more wine!

PS He is also not letting on that he has got himself a MacBook Air! Superb choice!
