Its been only by mistake that I have pressed TV on my beo5, a nice glips of static, then back to DTV or STB Box etc etc

Im determined to find some use to the TV function, since my A9 keyring is currently operating at 66.66% functionality and Im thinking about getting a beolink 2000 for the kitchen that only has TV, CD, RADIO as sources. Does the BL3500 have the same sources?

• One idea was converting the Apple TV output to the coaxial, but there is no control

Does any one have any ideas what else to use TV for?

Connect the "RF Out" of your set top box to the RF in of your TV. At least you'll get the last STB channel when you press TV.

I really wish that B&O offers software update to use the DVB-T on TV, and free DTV for an external STB.

On existing Beovisions you will never be able to have the DVB-T on TV, future Beovisions may be a different story.

However, building on your Apple TV proposal, you could use a RF converter from you Apple TV into the RF input (aerial) and program the Beo5 when you press the TV button it also switches on the Apple TV directly from the Beo5 and provides control directly from the Beo5. As the Apple TV apparently uses the same remote as the iPOD docking station, then there is already an XML file available to achieve this objective.

Keith, do you think that an RF-in feed from the apple tv and sound, look and sound good? Is it worth it?

The sound and vision via the analogue RF aerial input can be as good as the best analogue TV reception.

If you are happy with the quality of the analogue TV picture and sound you have/had, then it would meet your objective.
