    beogram 1602 problem

    Hi Everyone,
I have recently bought beogram 1602, and found out that the arm always moves to SP 7" playing location. Any ideas why?
    Best regards.

Must be a fault in the weighing setting. In most there is an adjustment to alter the weight of the record able to be lighted. Put an extra weight on the record and see if it still does it.

Peter - OT I know, but in all the time I've been on Beoworld you've only had the same generic 'Peter' Beoworld avatar. Who is the person in the picture, if you don't mind me asking!?

That is Brockett Grover who is my great, great, great, great grandfather (actually may be another great in there!) His portrait along with that of his wife and his and her mothers are in my hall. Thought a change would be nice!

    Great, Peter!

If I remember well it seems to me that I have already seen this beautiful painting on the "very" old Beoworld in the beocollectors photo gallery.

I believe it was on the wall of a room near a dark curtain and where there were shelves on which we can see a Beocord 1600 reel to reel with a red Beolit 700 at the top, a Beomaster 3000-2, a Beomaster 8000, a Beomaster 1700,... along with a sc60 or 80 system cabinet furniture showing a Beogram 3000, a Beocord 5000, a Beomaster 2000 and perhaps a CDX if my memory is good!

In the middle of the room a round table and a pot plant on it...

A page of our Beoworld History. Smile

Btw, would you have an idea where my avatar comes from? Wink

Quite correct - his wife was next door to him - painted in 1799 at the time of his wedding.

Your avatar looks like the logo one sees on the guarantee cards in the 60s though my eyes are not good enough to read all the writing! I think that was the era with the most class, the quality mark one can trust!

It comes well from the 60s but not from the guarantee cards. Please try again!

So, this thread went completely OT ?   Erm

Is the black center tap moved easily up and down with a weak spring effect to hold it up with no record on the platter ?

Yes indeed, Martin this is completely OT in the Beogram section.
I am going to go on posting it in an old thread named "Your Avatar" on the General Forum...
