    What's all this about a Beosound5 thingy?

Must say I thought there would have been more mention of here it on Beoworld.

ehhh, I would say that there are plenty of topics and postings about BS5 the last few months. I can't imagine you missed that ?

Just because it's mellow it doesn't mean it's less evil....

Judgign from the pictures there doesn't seem to be any space for a DVD player in BeoSound5??? If so, is this because B&O believe DVD players are a thing of the past and expect people to download films from the internet - or "import" (?) them using the DVD drive in a connected PC....?

     http://www.whois.net/whois_new.cgi?d=beosound5&tld=com

The site is owned by B&O.

    Serenata...

i'm excited but i'm perplexed as to why they are using similar marketing on BS5 as serenata...

I applaud B&o's web designs, it's absolutely fantastic.

yeah... But why the countdown? Has it gained a lot of publicity before its launch? Also they don't seem to have a link to this webpage via the main website which I find is kinda odd. They should have at least done it like the B&W launch of the Zeppelin. How else will the normal browsers know about the launch of Beosound 5?

Well I have to say the excitement of creating my own "circle" was totally underwhelming - did I send it to anyone...........er, no, I don't dislike anyone that much!

Surely they intend something exciting to happen before the timer runs down - if not it could be the dullest product build up I've ever witnessed!

Imagine if they can't even get timer functioning well, what else can they do? Just joking... haha

Is this common though? Timer malfunction?

Or maybe they did it on purpose cos they are running a bit late behind the scheduled launch of the website. Sneaky......

Guess they're influenced by the timer malfunction that messed up the prize draw here!

Must confess that I can't think of a single person in the known universe that I want to send a circle to ...

Now, what if they had offered me the opportunity to send a gift of five downloadable, high-rez files of excellent music to someone ... with a description of the BeoSound 5. For instance.

What a riveting website. I wake up each morning and run downstairs to click on it again.

I wonder what age the person who made this circle thing is,  5 or 6 perhaps!

    Poor me, never win owt!

It just seems somehow as thought B&O haven't got the hang of this sort of thing - other web promotions have also been achingly poor - the "think up a slogan to describe our speakers" somehow leaps immediately to mind - some of the winners were cringingly bad, to the extent that some were hilarious (and not in a good way).

Maybe I'm being unkind and they lost that "indefinable" something when translated from their native language but ................ in English they sucked!
