    Beolab 6000s

    Hi.

I wonder if I am on my own here but im rather disappointed with the sound quality of my BL6000s....I initially thought it might be a problem with the particular pair but i have a second pair and they sound the same.

I find them to be very bass light ( I cured this with the addition of a Gallo Subwoofer ) but the main problem I find is lack of imaging and general excitement

I am running them through a Beocenter 2300 and im wondering if a change to BL8000s or even Lab1s will be worthwhile ( although id rather not spend a heap of money at the moment.

     Thanks

    Simon

I'm afraid that the lab 6000 are a bit too much about appearance and a bit too less about sound quality. Stylish, but sadly not very good.

The lab 8000 are in my opinion pretty good.

    Hi ,

Do you have only BL6000 ? Cos usually they where used like rear speakers or for saround setup or like additional speaker.

They have lack of deep  bass  on low frequency, but in my opinion they produce really detail sound.

Of course BL8000 is much better speakers!

May I suggest  to put additional pair of BL4000 (really  good speaker) and see what will happen. BL4000 is much more cheaper than BL8000, and if you dont like it you always can move them to other room.

    Hope it helps Smile

Yes see if you can try out 4000's they are incredible, BL1 may be the best... but see how you go.

Consider 4000s as suggested above. More bass, especially if wall mounted. I really like them - more internal volume - a thoroughly splendid small speaker.

Ask your dealer if you can try the different speakers, in your own home. I'm sure a good dealer will be happy to oblige.

If excitement is what you're after, then maybe BeoLab 3s will deliver more for your taste. I find them to be more snappy, detailed and 'fast-paced' than 6000s, 4000s or 8000s. Imaging is stunning, mainly due to the Acoustic Lens.
