    BeoSound 2 and SD-cards

Quick question regarding largest size of SD-cards that can be used together with BeoSound 2; I''m currently using 2gb but wondering if the unit support larger cards? B&O site state that 2gb is maximum,

I think higher than 2 gb will be "SDHC" cards. (High capacity) It's a software thing, my Leica M8 camera didn't work with SDHC cards when it came out, but now 2 years! later the latest firm ware supports SDHC, >4gb.

But then again, I can't see the point of having too much music on a beosound 2?

Hi Kim, unfortunately 2GB is the largest SD card you can use, as the BeoSound 2 cannot use the high capacity cards. I have 3 2GB SD cards with a particular genre of music on each card, so this does mean I have 6GB of music. Yes I have to change card sometimes, but it's quick and easy! I keep the other 2 SD cards which aren't inside the BeoSound 2 in my wallet.

    Re: BeoSound 2 and SD-cards

Thanks for the feedback! I was curious if anyone tried and as mentioned the earlier firmware releases didn't support 2GB cards. I'm already today using a bunch of 512MB, 1GB and 2GB cards for different genre of music and audio books. One of the reasons why I actually bought the BeoSound 2 in the first place; being able to quickly switch the content by replacing SD-cards.

But, I was curious if anyone tried out with >2GB cards - nothing else and nothing less. I'm more or less always using 320kb mp3 and/or lossless formats. So for example being able to use flac or ogg would be a great future feature.
