    BeoVision LX 6000 mk II

    Hi all BeoWorld members...

I have recently bought above mentioned item. It is from 1994 and in totally perfect condition.

But I am afraid the speakers wil get foam rot in the future...

Are there any possible ways to prevent that?

    Thank you in advance.

    Regards,

    Erik

Erik, as far as i remember it's the same as with the older LX 5500 vs smaller LX4500:
The LX6000 has no foam type speakers but rubber as opposed to the smaller LX5000.
Just pull off the frets and you'll probably see there's no reason to be afraid :).

Re: BeoVision LX 6000 mk II

    This is really wonderful news.

I do not have the opportunity to look behind the frets right now, as the set will be turned over to me in the weekend 1st and 2nd of November.

I did not think of looking behind the frets, when I first saw the set.

The thought suddenly came to me because the speakers in my old LX 2500 have had foam rot, and I had to change the woofers with new ones. The new woofers are rubber types.

    Have a nice weekend.

    Regards,

    Erik.
