Beocenter 9500 with separate power amp creates "plopp" at "on" and "off"

I connected my Beocenter 9500 via Powerlink (1 or 2 makes no difference) with a seperate power amp via a DIN-Cinch cable. The sound is great, however, when turning the Beocenter on and off, it creates a terrible "plopp" noise. It is so loud that I fear to destroy the speakters.

So have to turn on the beocenter before I turn on the power amp and the other way round when turning off.

Anybody has suggestions how to resolve this?

I tought this was normal? The pop that tells a beolab speaker to turn on or have i misunderstood something?

The plop is normall, you can avoid it by turning on the Beocenter first and then the power amp. If you wan't to turn it off, turn off the amp first and then the Beocenter.

I thought it was caused because of a different output frequency (din out is 10 or 12 ohms and the amp is 4-8).

Thanks Christian and Beobird for the quick responses.  So I guess I have to live with this.

You really should be careful though - always switch the power amp off first. Over time, you'll damage the voice coil assembly in the drivers, potentially ruining the speakers.

After testing,  my speakers makes the same pop, regardles if I turn the Rega amp on before the beosound overture or after the ouverture. So perhaps it is just the amp?

However, if i turn the Timer function on the ouverture on while the speakers are on, there is a pop in the speakers. Have anyone else experienced this?
