Connecting Beomaster 5000 to CD player

Hello. I just bought Beomaster 5000 and am trying to connect it to my CD player. I tried to put red and white audio wires to Beomaster but the sound is missing the vocal... Sorry for the stupid question but could anyone please let me know how to connect?

A very warm welcome to Beoworld.

Assuming your CD player is NOT a Beogram CD50 then you should connect it to the AUX-CD as shown in the diagram below and you will select the AUX and the display will show AU

    Regards Keith....

Re: Connecting Beomaster 5000 to CD player

Are your CD connections on a DIN plug or RCA Phono connectors?? I'm not sure there are phono "Aux" connections, in which case you can try "Tape 2" In.

If the sound seems to be mostly there but your are missing the "centre stage" can you check the polarity of your connections from the CD player - it is possible that if your have one channel with reverse polarity compared to the other you can end up with a "hollow"sound stage (note that vocals are invariably panned dead centre).

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.
