BeoLink Converter - BM6500/7000 and New TV

I wonder if anyone could help - if you were connecting a new TV to an older BM6500 or BM7000 (via a Convertor) would you connect the powerlink speakers to the TV or the 6500/7000?  Would that be influenced if you watch more TV or listen to more CDs / vinyl??

    Thanks for any help!

    Confused!

You would normally connect your powerlink speakers to the TV and the 6500/7000 via a Type 1611 converter.

It makes no difference which unit you use most.

The downside of connecting the speaker on the TV, is that you lose 2 way control of the BM.

It still remains the recommanded solution.

I heard there is a special sw 1.3 for BM 7000 that will give you 2way-communication even in option 0.

I can confirm what Stefan has stated.

Version 1.3 provided what B&O called a special "option 0"

Your Beolink 7000 will be setup for two way remote for audio and one way for video.

You may find that you can still purchase it through a B&O dealer and it has a part number of  8342830 and is 4IC2

    Hi All,

I asked my dealer this year about the costs for this part, I was told it is 45 euro.

See also this topic for possible restrictions in operation!
