Which sound cable into where, BeoSound Ouverture.

I got hold of a used BeoSound Ouverture. Now i wonder what sound cable I should use from the TV into the Ouverture, to be able to use the loudspeakers from the TV, that is connected to the Ouverture.

    Thank you!

Masterlink between the TV and Ouverture.

That's what I'm thinking, my parents has their b&o tv connected to their bc2300 via a masterlink converter to the aux connector, but the Ouverture has a ML connection from the start right?

Or is the TV another make?

    Hi,

    Welcome to BeoWorld Smile

You can use a DIN to RCA cable and connect the 5-pin-DIN into the AUX-socket on the Ouverture.

You then will have line-in and line-out.

    Hi Jocke08,

You didn't say if this was a B&O TV?

If it is, you can use either Masterlink (long connector with many pins) or Audio Aux Link (round socket with 7 pins) if these are also present on your TV.

To connect a non-B&O TV, you need an RCA or SCART to DIN cable.

You can obtain these cables from Lee at LifeStyle AV, or go to the web address below if you need more information.

    Best regards,

    Steve.

Re: Which sound cable into where, BeoSound Ouverture.

A straightforward question could have many answers, all being correct.

I have recently acquired an Ouverture which is connected to a MX7000.  In order to obtain full functionality, since the MX 7000 do not have Masterlink, I have a Beolink Converter between the two:

    Ouverture --- Masterlink Cable --- Beolink Converter --- 7-pin DIN cable --- MX7000

In this setup, I believe MX 7000 can be replaced by all MX and LX TVs.

With MX8000/MX4200 or newer TVs a Masterlink cable would do the trick.

With non B&O TV, see earler posts.
