    Beolab 3000 display

    Hi,
I have recently purchased a pair of Beolab 3000 speakers.
Using a fully cabled PowerLink cable I get no display when I connect them on a BV7 (as front or rear speaker), but I do get sound.
However, using the same cable I get the display working when connected on a BeoCenter 2500. So the problem is not from the speakers.
Should I get a display when connected on newer equipment?

Did you change the switch on the side from Audio to Video?

Sometimes the simplest answers are the best! Like--"Have you plugged it in?"
I once towed a Ford Corsair about 18 miles trying to bump start it then realised I still had the rotor arm in my pocket!

What side?  On the Beolab 3000 or the BV 7?

On the side of each speaker is a slider switch labelled "Audio" "Video" "StBy"

    Re: Beolab 3000 display

    Thanks Graham. Now it works.

An awkward incident. I have own the speakers 15 wear or so, since the were new.

But i dont get the right "sign" on the BL3000. When i run the DVD it say CDV and the DTV says V-SAT, for example.

What do i do wrong now?

I am afraid that is software related. I don't think there is a fix as CDV was what DVD replaced and V-SAT describes DTV pretty well! You will also get A-TP2 instead of N.Music and PHONO instead of N.Radio!

Just a question: did you place the source selector switch on video

(the same thing happened to me with a beovision avant until I found you must choose the type of source ( audio, video  or off)
