    MX4000 service menu access

    I have an MX4000 sw3.1 s/n 13718842

Is it possible to access the service menu via beo4 or are there some pins to short as on the LX5500?

Have you tried Menu, Zero, Zero, Go ?

Menu 00 GO just displays the software version.

Same with my MX6000 with sw 3.1, I believe it has the same chassis. You need to short the service mode pins inside to get the full menu.

Thanks for that Tournedos. I was hoping for a remote controlled solution!

What extra settings do you get for that TV?

When I press Menu 1 1 Go, I get a variety of settings on my MX 7000. What are they used for?

Beoworld's twenty-eighth ninth prize winner and fifty-first second prize winner. Best £30 I've ever spent!

That's the service menu - works on the 4000 too so I need not have taken the back off! Mine simply needed a very slight tweak on the geometry like you might perform on a computer monitor. There are lots of picture settings and others for colour etc. My advice is to always make a note of the original settings.
