    Beocenter 7700 & Beolab 8000

    Hello

Is possible to connect directly the Beo 7700 to a Beolab 8000? I was checking the electrical scheme of thr Beo and there is the dummy Line connector that could be used as a Beolab feed BUT there is no way to control the volume/bass/treble sections...

In the beo ampli section there are two TDA1074A that controls volume and tones, so could be used the last output (just before the ampli section input) to pickup the signal and send to the beolab (maybe using a 1K resistor) or not?n

Thanks a lot and sorry for my english.... :)

I suppose it should be possible, using some sort of resistor between the speaker output of the 7700 and the RCA in on the beolabs, try and ask your dealer if it is possible, i think they got a cable all made up with resistor and all. I know, I was once offered one by my dealer in Lyngby, Denmark.

    best regards

Would it not be possible to use the headphone output to connect a set of active speakers?

    Re: Beocenter 7700 & Beolab 8000

It should be possible, I have tried taking the signal out via the headphone output on my ouverture and it worked, although there was quite a bit more noise than when using powerlink. Somethink to do with the resistance of headphones compared to a audioinput on a amp/speaker??

The headphone output signal is taken after the power amp, so the signal has just a little bit noise that normally is not enough to pilot an headphone BUT it is amplified by the second amplifier.

This is what I think but am not a great technician...

Isn't there a circuit (box) available from b&o that takes speakerlink down to line voltage?

I think so, that was what I was offered at a b&o dealer once. That should do the trick, and also nice to know it is approved/made by B&O.

    Hello

Thanks for the reply, this box is very interesting, does someone knows what model/type is?

I cant find it in this asessory table ( http://www.beoworld.org/beotech/accessories99contents.htm) but try and ask your dealer, if he says there is no such think, just try another dealer, not all dealers are interested in just selling small asessories, they want to sell you a new beocenter instead of your 7700 (which is a great beocenter by the way).

    Give it a try.
