Hi, I have beolab 8000 & beolab 6000 and want to attach them to non b&o preamp. Is there any special aspect I need to check in the preamplifier ? Is anyone else using a preamp successfully with these speakers? Would appreciate suggestions. Thanks

You need to supply the speakers with 5-12V to make them power up. it is the yellow wire of the powerlink cable.

Not true, I'm afraid.
The OP will be using the line socket then the speakers will wake up on receiving a signal and switch off a few minutes after the signal stops.
