B&O products are simply to expensive, they increase prices each year and so also people who could afford their products years ago can not buy new products now. Also B&O product range is bad and formats are not up to date (HDTV ready to late, as other producers were offering HDMI inputs long before B&O, also no USB inputs with B&O sound systems etc).

    Very good summary!

Fortunately the new CEO is on the same point of view and things will improve... at least regarding the technologies.

Or it might simply be people have been expecting a downturn for over a year, fear of losing house value with increasing mortgages and interest payments.......

.....A couple of trillion dollar of loss on the worlds stock exchanges (and pension funds) and simply put....no one really gives a damn how many HMDI sockets there are on a B&O tv or what format it uses. It a luxury item regardless and the time for that has passed for a while.

Yes, I am in that boat: End of the nineties, I was able to afford a pretty high-end model from B&O: The Avant. Nowadays I am earning much more money than I did back then, but buying a high-end B&O TV is completely out of reach.

    Watch this space.

There are very real changes happening in Struer presently.  The new CEO is very focused on the technical aspect of the products.  There will be real streamlining on products going forward - utilising better use of platforms which will enable better technologies to be implemented and faster. It will also enable technologies to be cheaper as well, due to simple economies of scale.

There will be no more alliances with companys on small products.

There will be complete concentration on core products.

Lower sales are a product of the present economy.  I think the only brand doing well at the moment is Primark.
