    Beocom 6000 registeration problem

Trying to register another hand set to my base.   5 phones working on the base currently.  All goes well until I get to the pin code.  I enter it and a moment or two later I get Registering ********Busy*******.  Taken the battery out for 5 min and try again.  Unpluged the base for 30 min and tried again.  No sound just the ***busy*** on the phone.  After a moment or so the phone displays Not registered.  Any one have any thoughts?

    Thanks, Steve

    Re: Beocom 6000 registeration problem

Hi Steve and welcome to Beoworld.
There could well be a handset registered from times past. I would recommend removing all handsets except the one you are using, then adding them again.
Also, it can't handle six handsets and a Serene.

Let us know how you get on.

Outstanding.  I will give it try in the morning.  From what I can read a handset is removed in much the same way it is added?  Anything complicated about it?

    Thanks you,Steve

    Re: Beocom 6000 registeration problem

    Steve,

If you have Mark II Beocom 6000 handsets which would have the letters INT at the 9'o clock position on the dial then do the following to remove a handset:-

    • Press the centre button and turn dial to SETTINGS then press centre button
    • Turn dial to BASE then press centre button
    • REMOVE HANDSET is shown then press centre button
    • Turn dial to handset you wish to remove and press centre button

You can remove any handset from the list. You will also see any extra handsets which may have been previously registered but not removed.

    Regards Keith....
