Think it was DKK 33.000,- compared to BeoVision 8 32 which is DKK 28.000,-

    Design is exactly the same.

Hm... I thought they would remove the DVD part that opens, so that it would only be a clean straight aluminium panel under the glass/screen. It would make sense and I think it would also look very nice.

I don't want to point out the obvious, but how much of a 'saving' can B&O achieve by removing a DVD mechanism?

Sorry for being unclear about the design. The sliding door is NOT there, the aluminum is straight from corner to corner.

Don't remember the price, just seems to remember seeing that price. Will give my dealer a ring tomorrow.

This is very interesting. Pls let us know the price.

Will this version of BV7 be part of the standard product line?

But isn't this the price without BeoLab 7.1?

Current price of the BV7-32 without the BeoLab is 43.500 kr., so it seems reasonably that the price is without a speaker.

    So you will save 10.000 DKK = 1.350 € if choosing one without a DVD. (BV7-32 + BL7.1 - DVD = 7.500 €)

    Living room: BV7-40 mkIV + V8000, BL5, BL3, BM1 and BS9000. Bedroom: MX3000 and BL4500 on MCL2-AV. Around: PentaIII, CX100 and MCX35 on ML/MCL + MCL2-A, BeoPort and BL4 on ML, BS3300 + M75 as stand alone, BC6000 + BC600 and BT1100, LC1, LC2, Beo4, Beo5 and BL1000, BS2 and A8, EarSet2, Apron, Coffee mugs, Enamel Bagdes, Bath towel, Keyring, Books, Lots of miniature and the Bottle opener. Office: BC2300 + BL2500 and BS3. Summer house: BS Century.

    Addicted? Oh no.... ;)

Can you confirm that the "non DVD" option really exist?

    Re: Beovision 7-32 without dvd

Yes it does exist. B&O have confirmed that a BV7 without DVD will be available. However, as I say, no idea how much of a saving can be justified with the removal of a DVD mechanism!

I'll be amazed if they can 'save' EUR 1300 from removing the DVD. Indeed, sounds like a stealth way for them to reduce the price of the TV, without reducing the regular BV7. Hmm.

It equals the price of the DVD1...

I don´t think the price is calculated by B&O by deducting any savings from removing the DVD.

The pricing is probalbly set to move BV7 closer to the BV8, and increase the sales of a already designed established product.

The BV7 with DVD and speakers have made an impresission on the market, and by making it cheaper by stripping stuff of is a well known strategy to justify lower price and to  boost sales.

When launching a new car you always launch the "high end, v12, all gadget in" model first Smile

Think this is a good move for B&O.

Bv7-32 will definitely be available without DVD (allowing you to chose your own third party blue ray...).

Uk price will be approx £1000 less than with DVD, bring the price with BL7.1 and motor stand down to approx £6000.

That's mental. I wonder if I can give my BV7-40 back, get a version without DVD player and just use the PS3....saving £1000? :)

Excuse me, but isn't that the price of BV8-32. Will they be priced the same??

Had forgotten about the speaker when I wrote the post, but still, that is a low price. If only they would integrate BeoSystem 3, or even a BS3 light.

BeoSystem 3 will not be integrated into BV 7-32 it won't fit, but an updated version with 2 HDMI inputs will arrive at some point nex year.

    Re: Beovision 7-32 without dvd

Interesting. Most of us got a sound-system anyway, so running the sound of the TV throug a pair of active speakers is not a problem anyway. I think it is good B&O at last considered a cheaper version, I would definately choose a BV7-32nonDVD over a BV8 because of the design and contrast screen.

    just my 2 cent
