    BC2000 - Masterlink

I've just bought a beocord 2000 cassette deck - if I connect it to a Beolink converter can it be used through master link via my BC3000? - if so how do I access it - would it LINK A-MEM or A-TAPE2 or something - or should I forget about the converter and just use it manually?

Do you mean Beosound 3000? If so just connect it straight to the DIN connection. You can access it with A.Mem or A.Aux as both activate the same connection.

Hi - yes it's a beosound 3000, but I wouldn't be remote controlled if I plugged it into the DIN socket and I have my ipod connected that way, I wondered if the Beolink converter would be a way of adding additional inputs.

Nope, sorry.  The tape deck expects to be attached directly to the BeoSound.  With your current setup you have no way to operate the BeoCord via remote control.  Now, a 2500...that'd do the trick.

Sadly there is no way of having remote control of the Beocord. What you can do to allow both the Beocord and i-pod to be connected is use a CD Tape adaptor.  This allows you to switch between two different sources.

Thanks both for your replies - my mind is at rest and I'll look out for the adaptor - in the meantime it's connected using a 7 pin din splitter and all working fine.
