    Re: MX 5000 motorised stand

Welcome to Beoworld, and thank you for supporting the site with your silver membershipSmile

There is a correct sequence for attaching a motorised stand so the TV recognises it. Start from scratch by unplugging the stand from the TV then disconnect the power to the TV. Plug the stand cable back into the TV then restore power.

Did all MX5000's have stand software included in the chip? Somewhere in the distant past I seem to remember changing a chip for this very reason. Or was that a 5500?

nobby will know for sure. Suggest you pm him.

If your BV5000 has nicam fitted,it should work with the stand. There are no menu's for the stand with this set,you just press PICTURE then the left/right or up/down keys, depending upon which handset version you have.

You also may need to programme the tv to option 1 and option 5.

    Regards,

    Nick
