    Beogram CD3300 - DIN plug wiring help needed!

    Hi!
    I got a Beogram CD 3300 for repair. It's otherwise working but the DIN plug was cutted so I need to replace it. I have the plug but I have no idea which wire is which! I read the Beotech page about the Datalink but there was a green wire that this BG doesn't have. So far I have figured out that the red and white wires are the left and right channels and the shield is the ground.

    So there are still blue, black and yellow wires to identify.

    If someone have the wiring diagram of the plug - I would be more than thankfull to have a look on it!

    The other problem with this BG is a cosmetic one. On the front between the aluminium strip and the touch-panel there is the grey-coloured bar. The colour was somehow dried and loosed as by scratching with a nail the paint came off. I scratched the grey paint off and now the front-line is black. Is there any easy way to repaint it or somehow make it look at least more original than it is now?

    Blue and yellow are datalink (only one of them actually used = pin 7).
    Black is probably signal ground.
    Protective ground is the cable's shielding.

    Having spend some time searching the posts to fix a severed cable on a BeoGram 3300 (not the CD) I found by looking at a BG5500 it's just the yellow that's connected to PIN 6, blue is open circuit and black connects to the shield. When I repeated this config for the BG 3300 it worked fine both ways with a BeoMaster 3300 - switches the BM on when play pressed on the BG and remote operates the BG. So for reference:
    6=Yellow
    2=Black & Screen
    5=Red
    3=White

    1,4,7 = Not connected.

    Thanks for this info! I had already forgot my BGCD3300 had this problem. It's connected to much older system (BM3000 without datalink) so I haven't noticed this. After reading your post I opened the plug and corrected the connection. Now if I ever need to use it with datalink it should work! Thanks!

    The second question in my original post is still active, I am happy to receive any ideas!
