    STB control via MCL

Is it possible to work an Avant STB-C from rooms with MCL2A kits? I have non-linked TV's in these rooms. I also have an LX connected to an xtra TV kit (MCL2AV) in another room. I would connect my BC9500 to the Avant using a beolink converter.

Will the MCL2A's only carry audio commands?

I control my STB-C using MCL no problem. Not quite the way you have it but it used to be and I am pretty sure it worked like that too. MCL2As can carry both audio and video commands.

I agree with Peter. MCL`s can control both audio and video commands - using option 2. Some years ago I had an MCL 2A and an MX 1500 in a link room. The main room devices - MX 4000, SAT module, VX 7000 and a BC 9500 were controlled by MCL2A.....in 2way-mode !!
