    Ambiophonic Beomaster 900?

Well of course not, but I just had to post the picture Laughing Got the stereo decoder working in my other 900K, too...

I do have a question as well, though - what is the third speaker connection marked "+EKS"? I can see from the schematic that it's just an unswitched clone of the left speaker output, but what is the purpose for that?

Does anyone have the complete service manual (hopefully to be added on the site)? I have the schematic and some kind of a third party service bulletin I found on the net, but the quality is rather poor...

    Re: Ambiophonic Beomaster 900?

EKS is short for EKSTRA. It's merely an output for an extra speaker that you could put in f.e. the kitchen or bathroom where stereo wasn't quite as important a feature.

Complete service manuals were available for each of the many versions, some manuals cover a couple of versions. They come up in Ebay occasionally.

OK, thanks; in that case I guess I won't bother getting one though, they'd never completely match the version at hand anyway. It's not that complicated a machine...

    Re: Ambiophonic Beomaster 900?

    Correct.

Having said that, the original schematics will get you a long way and - if not removed by a previous repairer - you will find them in a brown envelope taped to the switch block inside the Beomaster. These schematics will always match the actual set.
