    Problem with Beovision 3

I have a 28" Beovision 3 I have not put it on for a couple of weeks.Instead of asking for the "Code" which we have in the same place ie top middle the word  "WAIT" comes up for a few minutes then it turns the TV off. Any advise!

It's because there bin used a wrong pin code 3 times. you have to wait 3 h with the TV in standby.

Since I purchased my 32" Beovision 3 it has always been used so I have not experienced this 'problem'. BUT, just in case it happens to me, how do I obtain/determine my PIN?

The vendor should have given this to you....if bought used. In case you got a from a dealer, it might not have been set or activated.

If it was not activated/set you can set it in the service menu, Beo 4: Menu, Setup, 0, 0, GO (as far as I remember).

    BEOKNOW:
Early BV3 do not have pin code.

That wil explain why I followed the advice given above and it didn't work! Thanks for that.

I did come across 'Theft Protection' though which is shown as 'on'. How does this operate?

I have a BeoVision 3.  Went to turn on yesterday and we can't get it past stanby.  The control works ok as the settings appear in control window still.  This is really frustrating because you can't switch it on manually either!  Please help.

Its possible that it has developed a fault and wont come out of standby to avoid further damage to the set.  Where are you based ... someone on beoworld may be able to help.
