    beosystem 5500

    Hi there, my outlaw decided muck about with my system and it now displays TIMER OFF on the tuner face and I cant seem to figure out how to remove it, please advise.Thanks .

    Hold down the right hand side of the front panel and press the left and it should go away. It might be the other way round but that should do it

    I had the same problem for ages before I worked that one out.  As far as I can tell, the Timer Off means that one of the sets of speakers are muted when you set the timer (ie for if you wanted your 5500 to only pipe music into you bedroom in the morning, not your living room)

    It seems a silly way to "say" it though.  'Timer Mute' would give a better description of the function

    Yes. I would even prefer the indicator to be a bit more minimalistic, I don't like seeing it all the time.
