    BeoMaster 900 tone control issues

I've got a BeoMaster 900 + BeoVox 500s which I plan to put in my study at school. However, the right-hand channel has quite a bit more low-end and midrange presence than the left hand channel, which I have narrowed down to the bass tone control. When at full, both channels are even, but below full, the left hand channel drops away considerably quicker than the right.

    What can be done?

Re: BeoMaster 900 tone control issues

    Hi

I would start by cleaning the tone control pots. Take them apart and clean the carbon track very gently, clean the contact track from any oxidation and clean the "fingers" that touch the tracks from oxidation. Then put some contact cleaner on the tracks to protect them. Reassemble.
