    A8 Sound Problem

    Hello all,

I've had the A8 earphones for about 2 and a half years now, without any problems. However when listening to my iPod today the sound had gone from the left ear. I can only get it playing through both if I hold the cord in a certain place. I'm guessing it's a connection problem between the cord and the jack. I'll be taking it into my dealer tomorrow unless you guys have any ideas.

     Thanks in advance,

    Bridgie.

Try cleaning the contacts on the plug. Get a damp cloth and spin the plug/contacts round in the cloth - always does the trick for me!

Sounds like a fractured wire to me but try it in another device other than your iPod (eg computer) to be sure the problem is not iPod related before returning to your dealer.

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

    Re: A8 Sound Problem

This has happened to me twice to my a8's, TWICE! Hehe i just got my pair back today actually after getting the cable replaced, just barely under warranty. But the fix is cheap, only about 35 pounds.

    Re: A8 Sound Problem

Cheers for the replies guys. Dealer tried it in his iPod with the same problem. He said it was a fault with the wire/jack connection as I thought. Sent it off to be repaired. Thankfully the guys at B&O Mailbox gave me a 4 year warranty instead of 2, so I should be fine... Gotta live without the A8s for a week though... [:'(]

this is where you get to use average earphones and appreciate the brilliance of B&o sound again ;)

I had my main beolabs out of action and the a8's gone for 8 days, and it was hell. now they are back to normal and wow i'm appreciating the sound all over again

Last time that happened to me I was simply given a new pair in exchange.
