Hi,

has anyone managed to make a hands free call using a TomTom connected to a Serene?

I can get it to share the phonebook and to use the TomTom services but I just can't get it to make a call. In fairness, the Serene is not listed as a compatible handset on the TomTom website but it does say "The phones listed have been tested by TomTom. It may be possible to use other phones." so I was wondering if anyone had any success.

If anyone can help, I would appreciate some pointers.

Michael, I have had my TomTom and Serene paired up since I got them, and can make and receive calls no problemo.
Did you get your TomTom to search for your Serene, or your Serene to search for your TomTom? Don't know if it makes a difference, but it won't cost anything to try it the other way. Make sure Bluetooth is activated in both devices eh!

I got my TomTom to search for the Serene but never thought to try it the other way round!!

Finally got this working at the weekend by restoring the factory defaults on the TomTom and setting it all up again. I must have got something wrong the first time round but I've no idea what.

Thanks for your input Andy - once I knew it was possible to get them working together, it was only a matter of time.
