    AV9000 TV

The TV has stopped working in that it appears to be on standby but when the remote selects TV the sensor blips green for a fraction of a second and reverts to red. Just happened.......Any ideas please.

Whilst thinking of this point, can I raise another matter, wholly unrelated. Somewhile back the video has taken in a tape, correctly so far as I can tell but it will not run nor will it eject it. In effect the Video is dead. Any thoughts

Sounds like a component failure which is preventing the correct start up of the TV.

I am in Farnham, Surrey, UK if you are close by and would like me to take a look for you.

    Hello again

As you may know I'm over in Tadworth in Surrey....so a bit of a trek

My local repairer is saying the fault is perhaps an indication of a protection circuit control activating to prevent component damage......and there can be a number of these.

    so, somewhat of a challenge

OK, let me know ... but unless you know what you are doing around a tv, I would not attempt a fix yourself.
