    Another problem - help please

    Hi all,

I'm having difficulty with my BeoCenter 2. I hadn't touched any settings and this afternoon the link speakers (3500s) have stopped responding to my Beo4 remotes. I've tried resetting the A.Opt (2) and L.Opt (6) and they are still not working. Any ideas on a fix?

    Thanks

    Christian

Let's start from the beginning. When you say link speakers, how many link rooms are experiencing these problems?

Are these all the link rooms?

Do the 3500s' displays appear to be functioning normally?

Switch everything off at the mains, give it a good 30 seconds to a minute, and switch it all back on again. Often seems to fix these weird problems.

Re: Another problem - help please

I have three link rooms with 3500's all fed off the masterlink from the BeoCenter 2.

(For info the BeoCenter 2 has an aux out to a separate non B&O amp and speakers)

The BeoCenter 2 (set to a.opt 1) is responding to the remote but does seem slow to respond.

Each 3500 has the standby display of the clock on. Each is set to l.opt 6

When i press radio on the remote (tried more than one remote) pointed at 3500 the speaker clicks on, radio flashes up on the display but then it returns to the standby display of the clock. Same with CD control. However, sometimes (becoming more often) nothing happens, i.e no click on etc. Same for all three speakers / rooms (one downstairs and two upstairs).

Have turned the system off for 30 mins so that i had to reintroduce the pin seeing if that would help clear any bug.

    thanks

I have to agree with Alex on course of action. The identical problem manifesting in three different link rooms smacks of an ML hiccup. Let us know the result.

Easier said than done ... half the system is powered by switches in the loft space

Nevertheless, turned it all off for a couple of minutes and all seems to be working perfectly again

Many thanks for your help Alex and TripEnglish
